School Association
The Mount Nelson Primary School Association (MNPSA) is a fantastic way to be involved in the school and meet others in the school community.
All parents, carers, guardians and school staff are automatically members of MNPSA.
MNPSA Activities
The School Association exists for the benefit of the school, achieving shared outcomes for our learners and the entire school community. Some of our regular activities include:
School and Community activities
- Welcome BBQ
- Mothers Day and Fathers Day activities
- Working bees
- End-of-year celebration
Learner support
- Purchase of classroom readers for all grades
- Purchase of specialist classroom resources requested by our teachers
- Soccer and Netball season coordination
- Purchase and installation of veggie gardens
Family support
- Uniform shop, including new and second-hand uniforms
- Weekly canteen offering a range of healthy options
Fundraising events and activities
- Annual Quiz and Curry night
Our amazing Grade 6 families coordinate the now infamous Election Day cake stall.
How can you get involved?
We always welcome volunteers to help with our events and activities. There is no ongoing commitment, and any assistance will be appreciated. This might include event planning, working bees, cooking sausages at a BBQ event, graphic design, sports team coaching or admin… the opportunities are endless.
All volunteers require a Working with Vulnerable People card and completion of the short, online Safeguarding Training module.
We’d love to hear from you at mnpsassociation@gmail.com
MNPSA Committee
The MNPSA Committee is an elected group of parents, carers and staff who meet twice a term to support administrative and decision making activities with the School. Members are elected at our Annual General Meeting in April/May each year, and vacancies can be filled at any time. Email 2024-25 chairperson Julie Preston at mnpsassociation@gmail.com if you’d like to know more.
